Each of these trees is made from hundreds of tiny pieces of vintage french art glass that I have chopped up and then fused into these tree shapes, incorporated a wire for the trunk and then mounted onto a piece of last year's tree trunk for the base. These are flat decorations, and look lovely grouped together, and if you have any candles lit nearby they will catch the light really well.
The glass becomes smooth when melted in the kiln but I make sure that it doesn't fuse entirely - so the texture is maintained.
I think this version looks like toffee, which is great in any season - and wonderful at Christmas when it twinkles!
Each piece is around 10cm high and 5cm across, and as they are all handmade they are all slightly different.
